Unlike the effects of Botox which last several months, Plasma Pen Fibroblast effects stick around for up to 3 years, although more than one treatment may still be necessary depending on your desired outcome. However, Plasma Pen Fibroblast is more precise and doesn't cause droopiness.STOP PRESS* We have brought the ACCOR NF+ Corrector Plasma Pen to Sarah Hurst Skin & Beauty, ensuring that we lead the way in the aesthetic market. We are so excited by this new offering because it can give our customers the most amazing results, only normally achieved by surgery. We now have an alternative to this, and also to botox and fillers, in a natural way.Hopefully, we have grabbed your attention and you’re as excited about this as we are. Let me tell you a little bit about the treatment and then show you some before and after pictures so you can see what it’s all about.ACCOR NF+ stands for Aesthetic Cosmetic Corrector Plasma Pen. This hand held device emits a small electrical arc from the tip of the pen without actually touching the skin. This plasma arc vaporises the skin giving an immediate tightening affect to the surrounding skin. These small points form scabs that drop off over the following week post treatment revealing a smoother and tighter skin. It is suitable for lines and wrinkles, loose skin, scars, skin tags, warts, moles and pigmentation. Skin tags will be treated instantly, whilst warts and pigmentation spots form crusts that will fall off within a few days.I can feel you getting very excited and wondering if this treatment is right for you. If you are considering line reduction, an eye lid lift, skin tightening or a neck lift, but don’t want to go under the knife, this is a great alternative. Although completely non-invasive, you still need to expect a few days of down time after the treatment as the skin will need to heal and rejuvenate. We’ll give you some medicated make-up to help minimise the effects so you can get on with your daily life as normal. There are some contra-indications that we can discuss during the consultation. The treatment itself is really straight forward. To ensure it is as comfortable for you as possible, a local anaesthetic cream is applied 30 – 40 mins before commencing the procedure. You can expect a small degree of swelling when treating the eye area, which will go down within 3 or 4 days. Tiny, circular scabs form at each treatment point that take about 3 days to start falling away, but will take about a week to completely clear. We will give you aftercare to minimise infection risk. Once the skin has healed you will be left with a more youthful, radiant skin.

What causes fibroblast cells to produce collagen?

Function. Fibroblasts make collagen fibres, glycosaminoglycans, reticular and elastic fibers, Growing individuals' fibroblasts are dividing and synthesizing ground substance. Tissue damage stimulates fibrocytes and induces the production of fibroblasts. They have the particularity of being able to produce collagen at an exceptionally high rate. At its formation, the ligament space is occupied by loose connective tissue connecting the root with the supporting bone.Fibrosis in normal tissues is a common and dose-limiting late complication of radiotherapy at many cancer sites, but its pathogenesis is poorly understood. We undertook a controlled study of the effect of irradiation on the collagen production of fibroblasts cultured from skin biopsies taken from patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment. Eight weeks after a single 8 Gy fraction using 300 kV X-rays, five patients treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital underwent biopsy of the irradiated site and of the contralateral, unirradiated body site. Fibroblasts from irradiated and control, unirradiated sites were cultured in vitro, and collagen production rates were measured during a 48-hour incubation under standardized conditions and in the presence and absence of transforming growth factor β1(TGF β1), 1 ng/ml, using HPLC. Collagen production was elevated in cells cultured from irradiated skin; median collagen production rates 61.16 pmoles hydroxyproline/105cells/hour in irradiated cells, 39.78 pmoles hydroxyproline/105cells/hour in unirradiated cells, P = 0.016 (Mann–Whitney U-test). In fibroblasts from unirradiated sites, collagen production rates were increased by the addition of TGF β1; however, in three of the cell lines cultured from irradiated sites this effect of TGF β1 on collagen production was not observed. © 2000 Cancer Research Campaign
