With Permanent Makeup, we use a digital tattoo machine to gently place very fine and delicate hair strokes, that perfectly resemble individual eyebrow hairs, into the brow area. We do the same thing with Microblading, but we use a super small sized blade (microblade) to do this. Our aim is to make it look as realistic and natural as possible.
Our pigments are specially designed tattoo pigments that are safe for every skin type and together we can decide which pigment colour would suit you best. Ideally, we want the pigment to resemble your own eyebrow hair colour so that no one can tell the difference!
Together we design the perfect eyebrow shape for you before we start the treatment so you feel confident and assured that you are getting exactly what you want.
Every eyebrow treatment is followed up with a retouch treatment 4-6 weeks after the initial one. This is highly recommended because everyone’s skin heals differently and some areas need a little extra pigment.
You can have a free consultation prior to any treatments during which we go over your wishes and expectations. We can also draw in the desired eyebrow shape using pencils so you get a good idea of what they will look like. We would also do a patch test during your consultation to make sure you are not allergic to the pigments.
No, but it is highly advised. During a consultation we have an in-depth chat about what look you want, what your expectations are and we can tell you how your treatment will go.
Every client is different and together we design the perfect shape for you.
During the treatment you will feel a vibrating or light scratching sensation across your skin as we work in the brow area. We use numbing creams to minimise any pain. Most clients say there is no discomfort or pain and some even fall asleep during the treatment! If you have very sensitive skin, after a while it can feel a bit tender, but not painful.
Just after the treatment the brows will look quite dark, up to 50% darker than once they’re healed. After 4-7 days the surface skin layers will have healed and the colour will start to settle down. The total healing time is about 4 to 6 weeks and we won’t be able to see the finished result until then. During the healing time some areas can look quite patchy and uneven. It can even look as if there is no pigment at all in some places. Don’t worry, this is perfectly normal! It’s all the skin layers underneath the surface that are still healing which can obscure the pigment from view. After a few weeks, the pigment will come back to view again which is why we have to wait 4 to 6 weeks until we can do your retouch treatment.
Permanent makeup is done with a specially designed tattoo machine. We use very fine needles to carefully insert pigment into the brow area to recreate eyebrow hairs. Microblading is where we use a very small blade to insert the pigment into the brow area. Both permanent makeup and microblading are forms of micropigmentation. Microblading tends to look a little more natural because the hair strokes are slightly thinner and are placed less deep into the skin. Permanent makeup gives a more defined shape while still looking very natural.
Permanent makeup lasts anywhere between 2-5 years and microblading lasts between 8-18 months.
Factors that influence this are:
tanning and use of sunbeds
your skin type and condition
We usually recommend a top-up every 12 to 18 months to keep your eyebrows from fading too much and keep them looking defined. You can have a colour boost before then as well, if you want them to look darker or more defined.
